Animal Rescue New Orleans website
As a volunteer for Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO), I designed and built a new website for the organization that better reflected the professionalism and integrity of the group's work.
I began by conducting a site audit of the existing ARNO website. I identified some key issues and offered suggestions to correct them. I then met with ARNO staff to discuss new design directions, content, and functionality requirements. I created several design directions and tweaked them according to client feedback until a design was chosen.
I then produced the site and pulled in all of the existing content into the new templates. The longest part of the process was stripping old content of extraneous html tags and unused css classes.
Web design and production
The best compliment I have received for the site, from ARNO's executive director, is that people say the site is too professional looking and don't think ARNO really needs that much financial assistance!
The site will be pulled into WordPress within the next several months, which will allow content contributors to maintain the site, helping to keep the content as up to the minute and relevant as possible.
